'A Day On The Farm' - by Leone

I  saw  some   cows   and    some   calves
I   saw   big    cows    and    some   calves   eating   food.
I   saw   a   big   truck  driving through the paddocks.
I    love    the    baby    cows   and    their    mum   and dad.
The     tractor   was   amazing.
If  I   had   a   farm   I   will    let   the   baby    cows    eat lots!

'A Day On The Farm' by Tatiyana

The  cows  eat  hay  every   day.
Taking  care  of  a  farm  is  not  easy.
I   think  farm's  are  cool  to have.
I  love   animals  do  you?
Animals are  so  fun  and  cute.
If  I  had  a  farm  I  would  play  with  the  baby  cows.

Kelly's Story

In the weekend, we had a birthday party. The party was a celebration for my Mum.

We had lots of food, especially tongan food. My Mum is the best Mum. She is 45 years old.

We had to hide under the table to surprise Mum. She was so happy that we surprised her!

We went to the shop to buy Mum some jewellery for her birthday.

We also bought her a delicious birthday cake!

Bethan's Story

When it was christmas for my holiday I went hunting and camping with my family.

We had some puzzles and games to play with too.

On Thursday we went for a hike which we were pretty much just hunting for deer, turkey and wild rabbits.

Later that night, we had hot dogs for dinner.

Class 14 Is Learning About Flight!

Today in class 14 we began learning about flight and the forces of flight.
We did this through making paper aeroplanes.

We know that
Thrust: Pushes the plane forward
Drag: Slows the plane down
Lift: Makes the plane go higher
Gravity: Brings the plane down towards the ground

Goldilocks. The Introduction

One morning in the woods Goldilocks was picking beautiful pink flowers. She was concentrating on picking just the right flowers that before she knew it she had wondered in to the deep, dark forest. In the distance she spotted a friendly little cottage, she gently tapped on the front door.

The Lorax. The conclusion.

From that one trufulla tree seed that Ted planted in the middle of town, an enormous forest full of trees like candy floss covered all  the  hills in Thneeville once again. The Lorax, guardian of the forest was delighted. He lived happily ever after.

Creative Conclusions

Today in class 14 we were learning about writing a creative conclusion in our story. A conclusion is what you write to finish a story. We wrote about the Lorax.

The Plot - The Lorax

The Once-lers were chopping down all of the trufulla trees! The Lorax, who was guardian of the forest felt furious and broken hearted. Everything was destroyed! The old Once-ler was sad about what he had done and gave Ted the very last trufulla tree seed. He told him to plant it in the middle of town, to make people care about trees again. The people started to sing "let it grow." The felt ecstatic!

Writing The Perfect Plot

Today in class 14 for writing we began writing the plot in our stories. A plot always needs a problem (when something goes wrong) and then it needs a solution (when the problem is fixed.) We are writing about the Lorax.

Thneedville

Colourful trees, like fluffy candy floss cover the hills. The grass is green, fresh and soft. Candy floss trees have trunks like straws. Welcome to Thneedville.

Writing About A Setting

To write a fabulous beginning you need to describe the setting. The setting is where the story is  happening. Today we wrote about Thneedville in the Lorax.

The Lorax

This is the Lorax. He gets grumpy when the humans chop down the trees. He is light orange with a bushy, yellow moustache. He is soft, cuddly and small. He is passionate and he speaks for the trees.

Pare's Educreation

We are learning about 'teen' and 'ty' numbers in my maths group.

Why We Live In Houses

I want to explain why people live in houses. There are many reasons for this.
The first reason is that it protects us from different weather.
Another reason is that it's warm and comfortable.
The last reason is it has electricity to cook meals and have lovely warm showers.
Now you can see why people live in houses.
